The local yarn store has what is called Club Knit. Members of the club sign up for once a month sessions during which they learn new techniques, are able to purchase certain yarns that are marked down for members, participate in Knit A Longs, have Show and Tell, and have fun chatting with fellow yarnies.
Today was the first Club Knit session I have ever attended. When I got to the table where we gather around, there was a copy of a pattern for a mystery Knit A Long and a small packet of heel which is a foot cream made by soak. After the store owner talked about what Club Knit will be about for the next nine months, everyone introduced themselves and talked a bit about their current projects.
After introductions were made, I took a quick look at the pattern so that I would know what kind of yarn to purchase. Worsted weight yarn in four different colors are required for the project and I chose bright primary colors. I can't wait to see how the scarf turns out!!!
