I started the Juliet shawl by Jane Campbell about 10 days ago. I have about 15 rows left to knit. The "I Love This Yarn", which is 100% acrylic, has been working up very nicely with this style shawl. The colorway is Sorbet Ribbon which has white yarn entwined with a shiny thread that has purple, brownish red, and a couple of shades of green.
When I bought the yarn for the Navarro wrap-turned-wide scarf, I got 8 skeins of it. I am currently on the third skein. The yarn is nice to knit with and doesn't split (which is what I was afraid it might do). The yarn is very soft because of the little bit of alpaca and cashmere it has.
Some Sock Yarn
I thought I would once again try my hand at knitting at least one pair of socks and crocheting at least one pair of socks. Thing was I didn't have any new sock yarn. When I was at the LYS last Thursday for knitting group, I bought 3 skeins of TOFUtsies sock yarn. The yarn includes 50 superwash wool/ 25 soysilk fibers/ 22.5 cotton/ 2.5 chitin. The photo above (far right) is decent at showing the colors of the sock yarns.
